Dr. Poon completed his medical training at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, graduating with distinction in clinical science. Before studying medicine, Dr. Poon earned a degree in Genetics.

He trained in general and musculoskeletal (MSK) radiology at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospitals, with additional training at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore.

His career as a consultant began at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, where he served as a consultant MSK radiologist. He later joined Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust and became a Kent and Sussex Radiology Group (KSRG) member in 2023.

Dr. Poon offers a comprehensive diagnostic and interventional MSK radiology service and was among the select radiologists providing care to athletes during the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

His professional memberships include the Royal College of Radiologists (RCR), the British Society of Skeletal Radiology (BSSR), and the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA).
