Sports Imaging
Sports Imaging

We offer state-of-the-art sports imaging services that use ultrasound, CT scanning, and MRI scanning to accurately diagnose musculoskeletal and sports-related injuries.

Advances in ultrasound, CT scanning, and MRI scanning have revolutionized sports imaging, making it easier to detect and diagnose injuries that may not be visible with a standard X-ray. For instance, fractures are well evaluated with plain X-rays and CT scans. However, bone injuries can occur without an obvious fracture on X-Ray and MRI scanning is highly sensitive in detecting these injuries. In addition, soft tissue injuries to ligaments, tendons, and muscles can be accurately diagnosed with MRI scanning, providing an accurate diagnosis.

Ultrasound scans can also be used to diagnose sports injuries and provide accurate guidance for therapeutic injection of local anaesthetic and steroid. Our team provide the full range of musculoskeletal and sports imaging, with specialist skills in all areas of the body, including therapeutic injection.

Consultation with our musculoskeletal radiologists and your GP, orthopedic surgeon, or sports medicine specialist can help determine the best investigation for your symptoms.
