Dr Turner completed both her undergraduate medical degree and subsequent radiology specialist training at the University of Manchester and has been a Consultant Radiologist since 2001. She is a general radiologist with subspecialty interests in paediatric Imaging , gynaecological imaging (including transvaginal ultrasound) and DEXA reporting. She also spent two years in Sydney Australia exclusively reporting emergency radiology cases.

She is a member of the Royal College of Radiologists and the British Society of Paediatric Radiologists
